Management

The Management Team aims to provide a service that is recognised as Well Led and Responsive.

Both Rockmount Manager and Deputy Manager are expected to hold a Professional qualification to provide accountable oversight of the service delivery.

The management team adopt an open door approach to ensure service users have full access to them at all times.

We take our responsibilities very seriously in ensuring the service is fit for purpose and designed flexibly to meet the changing and evolving needs of its users.

To underpin this we aim to:

  • Work in open and transparent manner with all parties.
  • Ensure that staff are fully aware of the expectations of their roles and responsibilities
  • Provide forums for discussion and feedback.
  • Adopt and embed best practice guidance.
  • Work in a collaborative manner for the best outcomes possible.
  • Provide opportunities for ordinary life experiences and celebratory events.
  • Work with the local communities to establish and promote the positive reputation of the business and its users.
  • Involve service users, carers and staff in service development initiatives.
  • At all times monitor and challenge, where necessary, the practice of staff. Including implementation of formal processes when practice falls short of expected performance.
  • That concerns are listened to and acted upon however minor they may seem.
  • Ensure at all times that service users feel safe and supported.
  • Achieve national benchmark standards.

This  also includes:

  • Ensuring a person-centred approach to assessment and support at all times
  • Responding promptly to any episodes of anxiety and distress.
  • Recognising and responding positively  to crisis situations in order to minimise risks and resolve negative situations or presenting problems.
  • To ensure the rights of our service-users are protected at all times and in every situation.
  • To ensure staff are competent to manage such situations in a pro-active and positive manner.
  • To utilise recognised and appropriate techniques when managing risk and dealing with challenging situations
  • To recognise and reward areas of staff performance that assist in delivery of our vision
  • To always work in an enabling and non punitive manner
