October/November 2017

This period has seen some very sad news as one of our long standing service users died.

Some service users were supported to attend the funeral with a representation from the staff team, and we also held a memorial service at Rockmount for people who were unable to attend so they could remember her in their own way.  Post funeral refreshments at Sycamore farm with huge slices of cake and a well earned brew being the order of the day .

On a more positive note we have secured some volunteer work at a local animal sanctuary for one lady who we support as she has an interest in horse care.

The manager has been away to London to train as a licensed trainer in the Outcomes star, this will help us assess and care plan with service users and help everyone get involved in their own care and support. We are really looking forward to this coming on board as it will help us evaluate where people need the most support.

We have organised our xmas party at the local cricket club and are all looking forward to what us usually a great night out for everyone. Family members come along and we all have a good laugh and dance. We have chosen a hot buffet selection and a fabulous entertainer singing Elvis tribute and songs from the 70/80/90s era. Some service users get up on the mike for a song or two!
