July 2016 News

Holidays are underway with service users already visiting , The lake district, Blackpool and Ribby Hall this month.

Theatre breaks are also being planned for some service users where this is identified as something they enjoy.

We now have our own Maintenance person who will help us keep on top of routine jobs around the home. We will put her to good use.

Good news- we have received a 5 star food hygiene rating from our inspection last month, which we are very pleased about. 🙂

We have 2 lease vehicles in use now to enable more people to get out and about further. We have also used these for holidays to keep the costs to a minimum.

As part of our progress to provide and involve service users in meaningful activity we have secured the use of an allotment run by Piggy Park charity, in Rishton- it is a good size plot which will need a lot of work to get ready for planting next spring.  Lets hope we get all the “helpers” we need 🙂 we are hoping to grow some of the vegetables we use for our meals, this will also fit with our environmental improvement policy.

We are planning to run a Macmillan coffee morning in September so look out for information about that in the coming months…..

We continue to raise money for the Lennox fundation by name the teddy activities.
